Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and opted to field first against the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Delhi Capital opener’s Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abhishek Porel scored fifties as the Delhi Capitals posted 221/8 in their 20 overs against the Rajasthan Royals. Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets off his four overs. Yuzvendra Chahal became the first Indian to snap 350 T20 wickets as he removed Rishabh Pant.
Despite skipper Sanju Samson’s 86, the Rajasthan Royals fell short by 20 runs against the Delhi Capitals in their 11th match of the season on Tuesday. Chasing 222, Rajasthan lost both their openers in the powerplay but Samson kept the hopes of a win alive before he was dismissed by Mukesh Kumar.
Kuldeep Yadav is the PLAYER FOR THE MATCH for his brilliance with the ball. He says that the 18th over was very important and he focused on his lines and lengths against the power hitters. Adds that he had a plan for Donovan Ferreira and it was all about varying the pace. Mentions that he bowled a couple of seam-up balls to try and see what the batters were doing. Feels that he doesn’t think too much because high-scoring games put pressure on the bowlers. Reckons that to read the batters intent is a big factor for any bowler.
