It was the first time Yuzvendra Chahal dismissed Virat Kohli in the history of the IPL and the Rajasthan leg-spinner was thrilled to get the big scalp. Kohli took his tally to 741 runs and would have loved another big score in the playoffs, but the former RCB captain fell to the shot that has brought him a lot of success this season
In reply RR got off to a steady start with Yashasvi Jaiswal putting up strong stands with Tom Kohler-Cadmore and captain Sanju Samson. However, RCB pulled things back in the middle overs by dismissing both Jaiswal and Samson in quick succession. Dhruv Jurel was then run out thanks to a world class effort by Virat Kohli at the boundary.
RR ended up needing 58 off the last six overs with Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer in but RCB still seemed to be the team on top considering the way they were fielding and the mistakes the batters were making while running between the wickets. That went away quite quickly though as Rovman Powell went about finishing the chase. Rajasthan Royals won by 4 wickets
