According to FT, PSG are set to beat Borussia Dortmund to the signing of Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.
It has previously been reported that Die Schwarzgelben were looking into the possibility of luring the Englishman back to the Westfalenstadion. However, financially for Dortmund, a permanent move for Sancho has always appeared difficult to pull off.
Despite interest from Juventus as well, Dortmund were still in pole position to secure the 24-year-old’s signature. However, BvB have been unable to offload a key attacking player, allowing PSG to overtake the Champions League runners-up in the race to sign the winger.
As stated in the report, the French champions are in contract negotiations with Sancho, and it is believed that the two are close to finding an agreement. The Englishman is said to be excited about the prospect of playing for PSG.
Nevertheless, as it stands, PSG are yet to reach an agreement with United. The Parisians have focused on reaching an agreement with Sancho before they look to negotiate a deal with the Premier League outfit.
Regardless, due to United’s interest in PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte, a deal between the two clubs is not expected to be difficult. There is an expectation that the two clubs will agree upon a deal that sees the Uruguayan midfielder head to Old Trafford while Sancho heads to Paris.
