The wait for Leicester City’s first Premier League win of the season continues following a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace.

The Foxes took a 2-0 lead thanks to an inspired Wilfred Ndidi, but the relentless pressure by the Eagles paid off, who completed their comeback in the 92nd minute with a Jean-Phillipe Mateta penalty.

Here’s how we rated the Leicester City players

Leicester City player ratings vs Crystal Palace

Mads Hermansen – 6

Confidently claimed a few crosses but was forced to clear the ball often due to Palace’s pressing. There was nothing he could really do for the two goals.

James Justin – 6

He went forward more often and didn’t influence play in Palace’s half apart from his role in City’s second goal. Struggled a bit defensively with the width the Eagles were playing with.

Wout Faes – 8

A true warrior. Made some really important blocks in the opening 25 minutes of the game and looked solid throughout the match.

Caleb Okoli – 7

Won all but one of his five duels. Okoli made plenty of tackles and interceptions and marked Mateta fairly well.

Victor Kristiansen – 6

With Justin pushing up the pitch, Kristiansen often tucked in as an inverted fullback. It was a standard performance in which he did nothing wrong but did not influence the game much.

Harry Winks – 6.5

Pressed well and made some nice passes. With Palace dominating the second half, he didn’t have much of the ball.

Oliver Skipp – 7.5

Showed exactly why Leicester spent £20 million on him. He was all over the pitch and played some really nice passes in the attacking third. Wearing the number 22 on his back, there were a few trademark Kiernan Dewsbury Hall forward runs.

Wilfred Ndidi – 8.5 (POTM)

Played like prime Zinedine Zidane. Set up Jamie Vardy for the opener with a good tackle followed by a sublime through ball. For Leicester’s second goal, Ndidi showed superb awareness to find Stephy Mavididi. What a performance.

Stephy Mavididi – 6

He started the game brightly but should have done better with his two first-half chances. Besides scoring, Mavididi was poor in the second half, constantly giving the ball away.

Jamie Vardy – 8

The first goal was vintage Vardy. His run was timed to perfection and he showed good pace to get to the ball. Could have had an assist after setting up Mavididi with a good chance in the dying minutes of the first half.

Jordan Ayew – 5

Scuffed an early chance and didn’t have an impact throughout the game. Not the Selhurst Park return he would have hoped for.

Abdul Fatawu – 6

Defended hard after coming on and made a superb sliding tackle at the edge of the box to deny Eddie Nketiah a shot at goal.

Hamza Choudhary – 6

A typical combative display in the midfield.

Conor Coady – 4

Having played less than 30 minutes of football this season, Coady was a surprising substitute. Gave away the penalty with a clumsy tackle on Ismaila Sarr.
