Gerry Cardinale has written an open letter to wish a happy new year to Milan and its fans.
2022 will be remembered forever in the history books of Milan as the club won its 19th Scudetto and made millions of Rossoneri fans around the world happy.
2022 also marked the end of the Elliott ownership and the start of the RedBird regime, with Gerry Cardinale the new owner. The American wrote an open letter to the Red and Black world, as reported by Gazzetta.it on Friday evening:
Dear friends,
A special year is coming to a close, one that has marked our first steps in the great history of Milan, along with the great excitement of our return to winning in the league. A history to which each of you continues to contribute with great involvement and which in turn I feel committed to guard and nurture with all the skills of RedBird.
The excellent sporting results and the further steps forward in the solidity of sustainability of the management of the Club have shown us, once again, how far ‘teamwork’ can take us all together to ‘throw our hearts over the hurdle’.
Thanks to the leadership of President Scaroni, new CEO Giorgio Furlani, Paolo Maldini and the entire management team, combined with your constant commitment and dedication, our Club will continue on its trajectory to return to the top of European football.
This is my wish for the New Year to come, while I wish serenity and all the best for the coming holidays to all of you, your families and the great, warm, incredible community of Milanisti, in Italy and around the world.
Forza Milan, sempre!
Gerry Cardinale
