As reported by Sky Germany, Leeds United are interested in Hoffenheim’s Georginio Rutter with the 20-year-old open to a move to the Premier League.

Talks between Hoffenheim and Leeds have begun and the deal could be between €30-40m. Rutter joined Hoffenheim from Rennes in 2021 for €750k.

The French forward extended his contract at Hoffenheim last year, his contract now expires in 2026.

During Rutter’s time in Germany, he has scored 11 goals in 64 games whilst also making himself a starter for Hoffenheim. This season he has played a role in all 15 of Hoffenheim’s Bundesliga games, scoring two and creating one.

Hoffenheim recently signed Kasper Dolberg on loan from Nice but still have a lack of strikers with Ilhas Bebou recently picking up another injury, Jacob Bruun Larsen is out for an extended period of time after groin surgery and Munas Dabbur recently returned from an injury.

A sale of Rutter would likely rank third in Hoffenheim’s record departures as he will sit behind Joelinton and Roberto Firmino who both swapped Sinsheim for the Premier League.
