The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) got off to a grand start, with many popular celebrities gracing the league’s opening ceremony and putting up breathtaking performances. The tone set by all those stars was further carried forward by the glamorous anchors of the event.
Notably, this year there are two broadcasters of IPL, and both have roped in a few popular female anchors to add charisma to their pre and post-match talk shows. While Star Sports has hired the likes of Mayanti Langer and Nashpreet Kaur, Jio Cinema acquired the services of well-known faces such as Sanjana Ganesan and Ridhima Pathak.

1) Ridhima was born on 17 February 1990 in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
2) She did her schooling from Ramniranjan Podar in Mumbai and has been an active participant in plays since her school days.
3) In 2008, Ridhima joined MKSSS Cumins College of Engineering for Women and completed her graduation with an A grade in Instrumentation and Control Engineering.
4) She started working as an intern with Radio Mirchi in Pune immediately after her studies.
5) Ridhima also worked as a marketing analyst for the Eaton Corporation computer store from 2012 to 2014.
6) She left her engineering job to pursue a career as a sports anchor and is widely known for hosting numerous sporting events for Star Sports and Decathlon.
7) Ridhima was also one of the official presenters of the ICC One Day International World Cup in 2019.
8) She was part of Sony Ten and Sony Liv’s broadcasting team for the Tokyo Olympics 2020 as well.
9) In 2023, Ridhima hosted the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL).
