Kicker reports that Wolfsburg are interested in signing Robin Gosens from Inter Milan as they look to add depth to their left-back role.

A move for the 28-year-old would bring much-needed experience and leadership to a relatively young Wolfsburg squad. However, Gosens’ current contract at Inter runs until 2026 and his wages and potential transfer fee are currently unrealistic for the team.

Gosens has fallen out of favour at Inter since joining from Atalanta in 2022 on loan, as Federico Dimarco has become Inter’s first-choice left-back until a recent injury has allowed Gosens time in the starting 11. The 28-year-old has played 39 times for Inter this season with most of his appearances coming off the bench.

Wolfsburg currently have two left-backs in their squad with Paulo Otávio whose contract expires in the summer and January signing Nicolas Cozza who is still being integrated into the squad. While Wolfsburg’s defence as a whole lacks experience with only Otávio being over the age of 25.
