The Sturgis soccer team lost a home matchup to Niles on Wednesday.

The visiting Vikings won the contest, 4-1. All five goals were scored in the opening half for the game.

Sturgis’ lone goal came on a kick from Solana Gonzalez late in the first half. It was the second goal scored by Sturgis on the season.

Sturgis falls to 0-8-0 on the year with the loss. Niles improved to 4-4-0 with the win.

The Trojans will play host to Kalamazoo Central coming up on Friday evening. The match is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start time at the soccer field located behind Eastwood. Kalamazoo Central is 2-8-1 on the season.

Vicksburg beats Three Rivers

Three Rivers dropped an 8-0 decision to Vicksburg on Wednesday in prep soccer.

Vicksburg improved to 6-6-0 on the season with the win. Three Rivers now sits at 5-4-1 for the year.

Allegan tops Constantine 

The Allegan soccer team beat Constantine 9-0 on Wednesday.

With the victory, Allegan improved to 11-0-0 on the season. The Lady Tigers have surrendered just three goals on the season. Constantine’s record following the match is 2-9-1.

Quincy beats Bronson

The Bronson soccer team fell at home to visiting Quincy on Wednesday.

The Orioles scored all eight goals in the match, winning 8-0. With the loss, the Vikings are now 1-8-1 on the season. Quincy’s record is 6-1-0 following the victory.
