Harry Kane has had yet another blockbuster season in front of the goal. The English captain has already found the back of the net 27 times, making him one of the top performers in the Premier League, with Erling Haaland leading the charts with 36 goals.

Kane’s contract with Tottenham Hotspur is set to expire soon, leaving him with only one more year to play for the team unless he signs a new contract. Unfortunately, the chances of that happening are as low as his trophy count. Harry Kane has been trophyless since the time he joined Spurs in the year 2009. The Lilywhites have come close to winning silverware a lot of times but have failed to win any over the course of 15 years. And the league’s second-top goal scorer does not deserve to be playing with no trophy under his belt.

Where would he go?

This season, Spurs may not even qualify for the Champions League, giving Kane one more reason to switch clubs. The Englishman is being persevered by top European clubs like Manchester United, Bayern Munich and PSG. While Harry Kane has been on Man United’s radar for a long time now, German champions Bayern Munich also have intensified their pursuit of signing a striker after Lewandoski’s absence and Sadio Mane’s under par season.

Bayern Munich have come back in the bidding hunt for lethal strikers and are ready to pay a sum of around 90 million Euros. Tottenham Hotspur have been sly in their transfer ideology and are charging around 110 million Euros from Manchester United. The club claims that they will charge 20 million more if Kane is to be playing in the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger wants Harry Kane to stay

While many are advising and wanting Harry Kane to become part of the Red Devils who themselves are badly in need of a goal-scoring center-forward and want to reduce their dependency on Marcus Rashford, former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger demands something different.

Talking to BeIN Sport, he said: “If you are his agent, Harry Kane has one year to go, in one year he is completely free, what do you tell him? Give your club a last chance and then you go. It’s not about money, but, in the end, it’s always about money. He will not go for less than £80million. You don’t find strikers of that quality.

“Is it down the character of the players or is it down to the whole atmosphere inside the training ground or the coaches? I don’t know. You need to live every day with players to know what’s really going on, and what works and what doesn’t work. You have to create a culture inside the club that allows the players to perform.

“You need clear rules for everybody to see what you tolerate and what you don’t tolerate. When you talk about values, most of the time it is [about] what is not tolerated. Players like Harry Kane have high standards. He is now frustrated because for years the team looked on the way up. Since two or three years they look to have failed again.”

Harry Kane to Manchester United is what everyone wants

While it may only seem like one more year at Spurs, it really is not as short. The Englishman is already 29 now and nearing his 30s. This can well be one reason to make a transfer before his value starts depreciating.

Harry Kane to Manchester United will be an invitation to death for other clubs; Rashford on the left, Kane at the centre, and Antony or Sancho to the right. Eriksen’s presence in Manchester United’s midfield will only add to the wounds of other teams. The Danish midfielder was a prodigy in the midfield when playing alongside Kane and we can expect the same.

Man United have even escaped the curse of not winning trophies. Having won the Carabao Cup already, they are close to winning FA Cup as well this year. They are even close to entering the Champions League this season and playing under Erik Ten Hag will be a blessing for Harry Kane whose style of play matches the Englishman’s skill set.

The transfer market is about to start very soon and Harry Kane can be expected to be the hot one on the list.
