Bild reports that Eintracht Frankfurt have held talks with Leeds United defender Robin Koch as they look to boost their defensive options.

Koch can leave Leeds for free due to a clause in his contract that is now active due to their relegation from the Premier League to the Championship. However, the 26-year-old has other offers including from Manchester United which would allow him to stay in the Premier League.

The central defender joined Leeds in 2020 from Freiburg for €13m. Koch played 39 times for Leeds as they were relegated from the Premier League after three years in the top flight.

Frankfurt are on the lookout for more centre-backs as Evan Ndicka and Almamy Touré will both leave the club when their contracts expire at the end of the month. Frankfurt have already completed the signing of Willian Pacho from Royal Antwerp in Belgium for €9m.

Along with Pacho, Frankfurt have already completed six signings this summer. Omar Marmoush (Wolfsburg) and Hugo Larsson (Malmo) have also joined Frankfurt. While the loans of Philipp Max, Ansgar Knauff and Eric Dina Ebimbe have all been made permanent.
