Sky Germany reports that Bayer Leverkusen have entered the race for Leeds United defender Robin Koch due to the 26-year-old being allowed to leave the club on a free after relegation.
Koch is seen as the successor for Jonathan Tah who is looking increasingly likely to leave the club this summer. However, Leverkusen will face competition from Bundesliga rivals Eintracht Frankfurt who have also previously shown interest in Koch as they look for replacements for Evan Ndicka and Almamy Touré
An unnamed Premier League club is also interested in Koch and is leading the race for the defender’s signature. Koch is yet to make a decision on his future.
Koch joined Leeds in 2020 from SC Freiburg for €13m. The defender came through the academy of Eintracht Trier before moving to Kaiserslautern and then ultimately Freiburg.
During his three years at Leeds, the 26-year-old has played 77 times, after a strong first season, the club battled relegation for two years and failed to stay up the second time around.
