NEW SUITOR EMERGES IN RACE FOR KANE
Although Bayern Munich appear to be the frontrunners in the race for Harry Kane, they could now have some heavyweight competition.
According to The Independent, Paris Saint-Germain are set to enter the fray and hijack Bayern’s move for Kane.
The French club have reportedly been encouraged by Kane’s willingness to move abroad to continue his career, although the Tottenham star’s preference remains a move to Manchester United.
PSG have already been priced out of several moves for younger strikers like Victor Osimhen and Randal Kolo Muani and with Bayern already making two bids for Kane, they have been forced to act quickly in a push for the England international.
Kane is out of contract next summer which means he can walk for free, leaving Spurs chairman Daniel Levy with a crucial decision whether to cash in on the prized asset now or risk losing him for nothing at the end of next season.
DESPERATE PL STAR CONTACTS CLUB OWNER TO FORCE THROUGH SAUDI SWITCH
Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is adamant he wants a switch to Saudi Arabia, but the Premier League club are reluctant to let him go.
Saudi side Al-Hilal are heavily interested in the Serbian marksman and have made a second bid close to £30 million ($AUD57 million).
So desperate is Mitrovic to make the move, Sky Sports reports he has contacted Fulham owner Tony Khan to accept Al-Hilal’s offer and let him take up a life-changing payday in Saudi Arabia.
But given Mitrovic’s 14 Premier League goals helped Fulham to an impressive top-half finish last season, Khan will want top dollar for the star striker.
Should he get his wish, Fulham boss Marco Silva will need to move quickly in the transfer market to find a replacement.
CHELSEA FLOP OFFERED EXIT ROUTE AS MASS CLEANOUT CONTINUES
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s torrid time at Chelsea could be set to end.
The Gabon international moved to Stamford Bridge last summer to reunite with Thomas Tuchel who coached the star striker during their time together at Borussia Dortmund.
However, Tuchel was axed early into the season and Aubameyang struggled to find his feet at Chelsea.
But his football career could soon be revived.
Sky Sports claims French outfit Marseille are interested in snapping up Aubameyang, who has one year remaining on his Chelsea contract.
New Marseille boss Marcelino is reportedly a long-time admirer of Aubameyang, with a formal approach for the 34-year-old expected soon.
