As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich will begin negotiations with Manchester City regarding the transfer of Kyle Walker next week.
The England international has already agreed personal terms with the record champions and will sign a two-year deal with an option to extend for an extra year which will see him remain in Germany until 2025. Per the report, Bayern Munich can expect to reach an agreement to sign Walker for around €15m plus add-ons.
After giving the green light to Die Rekordmeister on Friday, Walker will speak to Pep Guardiola before Tuesday at the latest regarding the deal. He is an ideal signing for the reigning Bundesliga champions, with Thomas Tuchel considering the Englishman as a leading figure within the dressing room.
Last season, Walker featured 39 times for the Citizens as they would go on to become the second English side to secure the treble. Walker’s versatility would see him feature at right-back and centre-back throughout City’s phenomenal campaign, which is a quality that will be significantly beneficial for Bayern.
With Walker soon to be signed, it does leave the door open for Benjamin Pavard to venture into pastures new. Remarkably, Manchester City are the side heavily interested in the Bayern man, who possesses a similar profile to Walker.
