Juventus are lining up a deal to sign Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey amid a potential ban for Paul Pogba.

Juventus were interested in a deal to sign Partey during the summer transfer window and could renew their interest after Paul Pogba was provisionally suspended, following the discovery of elevated levels of testosterone in his system.

Should the 30-year-old be found guilty of doping, he could be handed a lengthy suspension of between two-four years according to reports, while Juventus could terminate his contract.

Pogba returned to Juventus on a free transfer from Manchester United in 2022, but made just six Serie A appearances last season after suffering a serious knee injury.

La Repubblica, via Sky Sports, are reporting that Juventus are ‘lining up’ Partey as a potential replacement and could launch a move to sign the Ghana international in January.

The Italian side are reported to have agreed personal terms with Partey during the summer window and could return with a new approach in the new year.

Partey has started three of Arsenal’s four fixtures in the Premier League so far this season, but has been used in an unfamiliar right-back role since the arrival of Declan Rice from West Ham United.
