Tessa Howard endured mixed fortunes in the game against Argentina

Great Britain’s women suffered a 2-1 defeat by hosts Argentina as they continue to search for their first 2023-24 FIH Pro League win.

Agustina Gorzelany put Argentina in front when England were temporarily down to 10 players after Tessa Howard picked up a yellow card.

Howard equalised with a penalty but Eugenia Trinchinetti scored Argentina’s winner following a penalty corner.

Britain’s men suffered a shootout loss to Argentina after a 1-1 draw.

Jacob Draper scored his first goal for Britain to put them in front before Lucas Martinez equalised.

Argentina then won the shootout 4-1 to claim the additional point.
