After completing the signing of Saša Kalajdžić from Wolves on loan, Eintracht Frankfurt will look to boost their striking options even more in this winter.

Both Sky Germany and Fabrizio Romano report that Stade Rennes’ Arnaud Kalimuendo is a target for Frankfurt. The club have a verbal agreement in place with the striker of a move to the Bundesliga.

Frankfurt and Rennes are now in negotiations over the structure of the deal with it being reported that Frankfurt have offered a loan with an obligation to buy worth €23m.

If the negotiations fail, PSG’s Hugo Ekitike is the alternative reports Bild. Frankfurt would be willing to spend at most €20m to buy the striker that will replace Randal Kolo Muani.

The fact that Frankfurt are engaging in these discussions suggests that any attempt to revive the transfer of Rafiu Durosinmi are dead and the Nigerian will likely stay at Viktoria Plzen.
