Sky Germany reports that RB Leipzig are interested in and have enquired about Edon Zhegrova but a move in the winter is unlikely to materialise.
A winter transfer is currently not feasible despite Leipzig having inquired about the Zhegrova. The 24-year-old will cost around €17-20m.
Zhegrova despite being a Kosovo international was born in Germany and the winger is interested in joining a top-five club in Germany. The 24-year-old has also never played in Germany having come through the academy of Sint Truiden before moving to Genk, Basela and eventually Lille.
This season, the Kosovian has played 28 times for Lille, scoring seven times and assisting five as they currently sit fifth in Ligue 1.
Leipzig’s interest in Zhegrova would likely be them preparing for the departure of Xavi Simons once his loan expires and he returns to his parent club or the departure of Dani Olmo, who has a release clause in his contract that is valid in the summer.
