Our weekly Premier League awards honour the best – and worst – of the football action from the weekend.
Player of the Week
When Martin Odegaard is in this mood, Arsenal are an infinitely better team. The Norwegian might not have hit the statistical numbers of last season to date but he appears to be approaching top gear at a crucial time for the Gunners.
Odegaard was outstanding in Arsenal’s 5-0 thrashing of Burnley as the free-scoring north Londoners underlined their title credentials at Turf Moor. His work rate to press from the front was exemplary, while he was at the centre of everything good about Arsenal with perfectly weighted passes and the vision to find them first.
His opening goal was the highlight of a creative masterclass from the Arsenal captain, whose crisp hit left James Trafford with no chance.

Goal of the Week
Darwin Nunez enhanced his reputation as perhaps the most unpredictable forward in the Premier League with an audacious goal in Liverpool’s big win at Brentford.
Nunez opened the scoring with a delightful dink over Mark Flekken, his 13th of the season in all competitions.

It was a wonderful finish from the Uruguayan, though left some puzzled and pleased in equal measure.
That finish from Darwin Nunez yesterday was insane. I can’t stop watching it. And I can’t begin to explain how difficult a skill that is. Moving at pace, the ball running away from you, being inside the box with no room for error. Incredible. BUT, it is also further proof that if…

Miss of the Week
A bad miss, on a bad night, for the big man.
It turns out Erling Haaland is human, after all.

Save of the Week
Emi Martinez atoned for a rare error to save Aston Villa late on at Fulham, sprawling out to stop Adama Traore’s effort in stoppage time. The Argentine came to the rescue one-against-one, as Villa secured a precious three points at Craven Cottage.
Back into the top four after a slip from Spurs, the Villa fans are beginning to dream about taking on European football’s elite next season.
A huge stoppage-time save!

Stat of the Week
Manchester United made hard work of their 2-1 win at Luton, with the Red Devils weathering a storm against the relegation-threatened Hatter. A win’s a win in the Premier League, but Erik ten Hag’s team remain unconvincing.
Man Utd just faced 20 shots in a Premier League game for the eighth time this season. Liverpool have faced 20 shots twice since Klopp was appointed in 2015.

Quote of the Week
Kalvin Phillips’ loan move to West Ham has not quite ignited his career as hoped.
After errors in his opening performances, the midfielder picked up two bookings in quick succession as the Hammers lost at Nottingham Forest.
This fan, it’s fair to say, was not happy.

Donkey of the Week
One of the worst tackles we’ve seen in the Premier League for some time.
A coward’s challenge from Mason Holgate, who left Sheffield United in trouble with an early red card against Brighton. A man down, the Blades were battered 5-0 at Bramall Lane. Holgate will not have been popular in the dressing room at full-time.
