Tim Tszyu couldn’t help but laugh at Sebastian Fundora’s camp claiming the American will knock him out and declared there’s “no need” for a rematch clause to be in place.

News Corp revealed Tszyu and Fundora’s camps had inserted a rematch clause into the bout should the Aussie suffer an unthinkable first loss to the man dubbed ‘The Towering Inferno’.

However, the clause is only activated if Tszyu loses and will not come in to play if the defending WBO super welterweight champion maintains his unblemished record.

Speaking on The Back Page, Tszyu insisted the rematch clause was not bothering him one bit.

“I don’t know man, honestly,” Tszyu said.

“I don’t know, I don’t care. There’s no need for a rematch clause because he’s getting KO’d.”

Tszyu also responded to the staggering statements from Fundora’s team that he will be knocked out not just once, but twice.

After laughing for a few seconds, Tszyu composed himself and fired back while also questioning which member of Fundora’s camp made those brazen knockout claims.

“He’s causing himself a disaster,” Tszyu said.

“Is he saying that? Actually? I know who said it, that little weasel, actually.

“I know which weasel it is.”

Even though Tszyu is adamant the rematch clause will not need to be activated, the decision to agree to one from his team is understandable given the bout came to fruition just 12 days out.

Tszyu was initially slated to fight Keith Thurman but the man dubbed ‘One Time’ was forced to withdrew due to an injury, as Fundora was elevated into the main event.

Fundora presents an extremely different challenge to Thurman, with a staggering height difference the clear talking point when it comes to Sunday’s fight.

Although Tszyu admitted the opening stages of the fight will be “awkward”, the challenge of finding “holes” in Fundora’s game is what excites him.

“Yeah, it (height difference) is awkward and you can’t really train for someone like that too much,” Tszyu said.

“Especially two weeks out from a fight, you get one week’s prep.

“It’s going to be awkward, it’s going to be tough but as great fighters, you have to adapt to change and find holes. Find it.”
