India has recorded its biggest ever Test win by runs after skittling England for just 122 to claim the third Test in Rajkot.
After opener Yashasvi Jaiswal hit his second double century in successive Tests, the Poms’ impossible task of scoring the 557 runs required for victory never even got going.
The left-hander, who retired hurt on 104 on day three, took a single off Joe Root to get to 200 in the second session.

He removed his helmet, kissed the India logo and raised both his arms to a cheering Sunday crowd that rose for a standing ovation.
The 22-year-old eventually smashed an unbeaten 214 as India declared their second innings on 430-4 to set England a victory target of 557.
They were then 7-51 after Jonny Bairstow (4), Ollie Pope (3), Ben Duckett (4) and Zak Crawley (11) were all dismissed late in the day, leading former England captain Michael Vaughan to question their tactics.
“Even when this England team have lost in the last 2 years you have always been able to take positives .. or they haven’t been hammered .. this is looking like a wake up call that surely sends a message you can’t just play one way against quality teams,” he said.
They were followed into the rooms by Ben Stokes (15), Joe Root (7) and Rehan Ahmed (0).
England’s lowest Test score against India was 81, set in February 2021.
They surpassed that with Mark Wood firing 33 off just 15, but were bowled out for 122 – the 434-run margin the biggest in India’s history.

Jaiswal took the attack to the opposition in an unbeaten 172-run stand with debutant Sarfaraz Khan (68).
He has been in prolific form after he hit a match-winning 209 in the second Test and leads the batting chart in the five-match series with more than 500 runs.
Jaiswal is playing his seventh match and 12th innings in a career that began last year with a debut knock of 171 in the West Indies.
India reached 314-4 at lunch after losing overnight batsmen Shuban Gill, run out for 91, and Kuldeep Yadav, for 27.
Gill looked fluent after he resumed the day on 65 but a mix-up with Kuldeep got him run out when England skipper Ben Stokes, playing his landmark 100th Test, fired a throw at the bowler’s end.
Gill dived to get back to his crease but his bat was in the air when Tom Hartley clipped the bails and the batsman hit the ground in frustration.
Kuldeep, a nightwatchman who batted with assurance in his 91-ball knock including a six, couldn’t last long after leg spinner Rehan Ahmed got him caught at slip.

Ravichandran Ashwin “will be back in action” after he left the match midway due to a family emergency hours after his 500th Test wicket on day two.
India bowled England out for 319 to take a handy lead of 126 as their bowlers, led by Mohammed Siraj, delivered in Ashwin’s absence as India were left with 10 players to bat and bowl.
Ashwin’s fellow spinners Kuldeep and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each. The five-match series was level at 1-1 after England won the opener, but India bounced back in the second match.
