West Delhi Lions captain Hrithik Shokeen came up with a sensational effort on the field during the Delhi Premier League game against North Delhi. The third match of the tournament between the teams is underway at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Hrithik Shokeen stole the limelight with his fielding effort in the game against North Delhi. His magnificent effort in the field saw batter Vaibhav Rawal taking a long walk back to the Pavillion. His effort surely put his team at the top and gave them the momentum.
During the 4th ball of the 16th over, pacer Rohit Yadav bowled a full-length delivery outside off-stump.
The Southpaw Vaibhav Rawal made room and smashed the ball towards the mid-off area. It seemed that the ball would race away to the boundary ropes because the batter had hit the ball hard.
However, Hrithik Shokeen came up with a Superman effort. The right-hander moved to his right and put in a magnificent dive. He stretched fully to pull off a stunning catch. What caught the attention of many was his celebration after taking the catch.

Vaibhav Rawal played a decent hand for his team. The left-hander scored 36 off 29 balls, including four boundaries.
His wicket left North Delhi Strikers at 122-4 after 15.4 overs. His innings also helped the team post a fighting total on the board at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
West Delhi had a decent outing with the ball in the game against North Delhi. Skipper Hrithik Shokeen won the toss and opted to field first.
They had a decent start with the bat as Akhil Chaudhary provided his team with an early breakthrough, removing opener Sarthak Ranjan for one in the second over.
North Delhi came under more after Yash Dabas fell early as well. The batter managed just 10 off 11 balls. Vaibhav Kandpal brought his team back into the game with the innings of 29 off 22 balls, but he was removed by Hrithik Shokeen.
With North Delhi losing three quick wickets, Yash Bhatia (37) and Vaibhav Rawal put together a 74-run partnership to bail the team out of trouble. Based on their vital effort, North Delhi finished 144/8 in their quota of 20 overs.
For West Delhi, Akhil Chaudhary was the pick of the bowlers. He picked four wickets while conceding only 20 runs in his spell of four overs.
In the chase, Ankit Kumar played a vital innings of 39 runs. West Delhi kept losing wickets at regular intervals but handy contributions from Ekansh Dobal (27) and Deepak Punia (18*) took them home.
Yatish Singh bagged three wickets but his efforts went in vain. North Delhi won the game by three wickets to register their first win of the tournament and bag the second spot on the points table.
