The World Cricket is going to witness a cracker of a contest on 13th November (Sunday). England and Pakistan are evenly matched and it won’t be wrong to say that both have played fantastic cricket throughout the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. England slightly holds the edge over Pakistan due to their depth in both bowling and batting departments.

The Men in Green has had a roller-coaster ride in the tournament. But we should not forget how they decimated New Zealand in the Semi-Final. Skipper Babar Azam has been spot-on with his captaincy and it won’t be wrong to say that he has been the bowler’s captain who has stood behind the bowler.

ICC on New Playing Conditions

There are chances that the match could get washed out due to which ICC has made some changes in the playing conditions. “The Event Technical Committee (ETC) has increased the provision of additional playing time on the reserve day to four hours from the original provision of two hours (clause 13.7.3 of the Playing Conditions), in case more time is required to complete the match and get a result.” said ICC

“Every effort will be taken to complete the match on the scheduled match day. Every effort will be made for the match to be completed on Sunday, with any necessary reduction of overs taking place and only if the minimum number of overs necessary to constitute a match cannot be bowled on Sunday will the match go into the reserve day.”

Great Initiative by ICC

ICC’s decision to extend the playing hours has meant that the Fans would most likely get a result. We have seen how the rain has played the spoil sport in this tournament and many experts have questioned ICC’s plans for such a big tournament.

ICC would be well aware of the fact that the next edition will have 20 teams in 2024 in USA-West Indies. It is expected that the next edition will change the face of Cricket as we can able to see a lot of associate nations competing.
