Aussie cricket great Michael Clarke has delighted his social media followers with a self-deprecating update from Noosa, just three months after his visit to the Queensland holiday hotspot sparked national headlines.

The 42-year-old was filmed shirtless in a wild shouting match with his then-girlfriend Jade Yarbrough and TV host Karl Stefanovic in January.

The post dinner argument kicked off over accusations by Yarbrough that Clarke had been cheating on her with his ex-partner, activewear mogul Pip Edwards.

And over the Easter long weekend Clarke returned to the scene of that viral incident, but this time he was surrounded by family members as he took a break from his hosting duties on the Big Sports Breakfast morning radio show.

Alongside a happy image of himself relaxing poolside with family members, including his seven-year-old daughter Kelsey Lee and mother Debbie – Clarke took the mickey out of himself in a cheeky post on Tuesday.

“Back in Noosa, a little more wholesome this time,” Clarke wrote.

His Instagram post immediately made waves with hundreds of comments – many poking fun at his infamous run-in with Stefanovic.

“Where’s Karlos?” one fan wrote.

“Stefanovic on his way up there surely?” wrote another.

In an intriguing twist, Karl Stefanovic was also pictured in Noosa over the long weekend, however there was no indication of him meeting up with Clarke at any stage.

Stefanovic uploaded an image of him looking thrilled as he pulled in a fish off the beach at Noosa.

Clarke has endured a torrid 2023 to date with his infamous Noosa spat also reportedly costing him a $150,000 commentary gig for Australia’s recent cricket tour of India.

However, there have been supporters of the former Aussie skipper including Tabcorp, the owners of Sky Sports Radio, who have stood behind Clarke as he continued his role on Big Sports Breakfast.

In a statement issued to The Daily Telegraph in January, Clarke said he accepted “full” responsibility for the Noosa altercation and was “shattered” by his actions.

“I’m absolutely gutted I’ve put people I hold in the highest regard in this position. My actions in the lead-up to this altercation were nothing short of shameful and regrettable,” he said at the time.

“I am shattered that because of my actions I’ve drawn women of class and integrity, and my mates, into this situation.

“I own this fully and am the only one at fault.”

Meanwhile, Clarke’s ex-partner Pip Edwards slammed the cricket great at the time, telling The Daily Telegraph she was done with the drama.

“It is definitely not my circus and I would like to say the carnival is over,” the P.E. Nation designer said.

“The carnival is over and to be honest the focus for me is on the global expansion of P.E. Nation.

“The carnival is done.”
