Nathan Lyon was snapped while triple parked as a handful of the Australian team revelled in their famous victory at Edgbaston in a celebratory session at a Birmingham pub.

Walkabout, an Australian-themed pub where David Warner infamously punched Joe Root in 2013, played host to the post-game celebrations.

However,CODE Sports claims Warner, along with several other fathers in the Aussie line-up, opted to stay away from the bar.

Instead, Lyon among others paid a visit where there were a number of Australian fans also celebrating the two-wicket win that gave the visitors a 1-0 lead in the series.

Funnily enough, it was the Barmy Army’s chosen pub for the first Test.

And the rowdy English supporter’s group took to Twitter to share the snap of Lyon with two bottles of Peroni and a glass of another beverage all in his left hand accompanied by a hilarious caption.

“This is all out war now,” the Barmy Army wrote.

“The Aussies celebrated yesterday’s win in our HQ for the week.

“Apologies @WalkaboutBrum, we’ll make sure it’s full for the 2nd Test.”

ASHES VILLAIN ESCAPES WITH WARNING OVER SEND-OFF

England quick Ollie Robinson was reportedly let off with a stern warning for his expletive-laden send off of Usman Khawaja during Australia’s first innings at Edgbaston.

In the midst of his celebrations after snaring Khawaja for 141, Robinson said: “F*** off, you f***ing p***k.”

Although no action was taken at the time or after the first Test had concluded, the Sydney Morning Herald reports match officials considered Robinson’s send-off was a “borderline case.”

According to the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) code of conduct, any kind of “send-off” is prohibited, including “verbally abusing the dismissed batter.”

If a player is charged and is found guilty, they can be fined up to 50 per cent of their match fee.

Robinson has already made himself public enemy No. 1 in Australia for his reaction to the Khawaja wicket as well as his comment regarding Australia’s tailenders.

The England bowler justified his send-off by claiming it was said “in the heat of the moment” while also stating the bowling attack would have little trouble clearing out the Aussies’ “three No. 11’s” in the tail.

However, Nathan Lyon and Scott Boland ultimately played key roles in Australia’s run chase while the winning runs came off a Robinson delivery.

LABUSCHAGNE USURPED AS WORLD’S BEST AS AUSSIES SLIDE DOWN TEST RANKINGS

Marnus Labuschagne has been usurped as the world’s best Test batter by England star Joe Root.

Since plundering centuries in three straight Tests — including a double century and a century in the one match against the West Indies — Labuschagne has not cracked triple figures in his last nine Tests.

His woes continued at Edgbaston where he managed a golden duck and 14 runs.

Labuschagne had occupied the top spot for the past six months, however Root’s impressive showings of late have done enough to cement him at the top of the pile.

The former England skipper chalked up 118* and 46 in the first Ashes Test but it was all in vain as the hosts lost at Edgbaston in thrilling fashion.

Prior to the first Test, it was an Aussie clean sweep at the top of the rankings with Labuschagne, Steve Smith and Travis Head all in the top three.

However, all have slipped in the latest rankings update with Labuschagne third, Smith at No. 6 and Head at No. 4, with Kiwi star Kane Williamson jumping up to No. 2.
