Axar Patel took the crucial wicket of the dangerous Jos Buttler in the powerplay, India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah stepped up in the 5th over of the second innings. His delivery completely eradicated the leg stump, dismissing England opener Phil Salt and boosting the hopes of Indian fans. Bumrah completely bamboozled Salt with a slower delivery and sent the English opener back to the pavilion.

India triumphs to secure spot in T20 World Cup final

India’s victory in this match secured their place in the final of the T20 World Cup. Prior to this, England had faced the USA and dominated the match, winning by ten wickets. Buttler scored an astonishing 83 off 38 balls with a strike rate of 218, while Salt contributed a crucial 25 runs off 21 balls, allowing Buttler to play freely and build a solid partnership. It was imperative for India to dismiss both openers early, which they managed to do before the end of the powerplay.

With incredible performances from both bat and ball, India are now set to face South Africa in the finals of the multi-team competition. The anticipation for this match, to be held at the Kensington Oval Stadium in Barbados on June 29th, is palpable, and the excitement is building.
