On Saturday, matchday 13 faced a disruption with the postponement of Bayern Munich vs Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena. Due to the heavy snowfall in Munich, it was decided that the conditions around the ground were unsafe for those travelling to the game.
However, the new date for the clash between the two sides has now been confirmed. The rescheduled fixture will take place on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, with a kick-off time of 7:30 p.m.
Nevertheless, for those who purchased a ticket for the original game, their ticket will remain valid for the January fixture. On the other hand, for those who will not be able to attend the rescheduled tie, Bayern have stated that they will provide further information regarding ticket returns in due course.
When the two sides face off in the New Year, Bayern could see themselves go level on points with Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the Bundesliga table after Die Werkself were held to a 1-1 draw by Borussia Dortmund on Sunday. As for Union, they are once again rooted to the bottom of the table, and three points in Bavaria could see their fortunes change for the better.
