Despite the collapse of Hakim Ziyech’s move, Al Nassr remains determined in their quest to sign a new winger.

Al Nassr are reportedly considering a move for Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva ahead of the next season.

In a surprising turn of events, Hakim Ziyech’s hopes of joining Al Nassr were dashed when the Moroccan midfielder failed a medical with the Saudi Pro League side, leaving him uncertain about his club future.

Ziyech was set to make a £17 million move from Chelsea to Al Nassr, but an underlying knee problem discovered during the medical forced the deal to collapse.

While Ziyech’s transfer fell through, Al Nassr is not giving up on bolstering their squad. Instead, they have shifted their attention to another Premier League star.

According to CBS Sports, Al Nassr sees Silva as their primary target and will rely on Cristiano Ronaldo’s presence to entice the Portuguese playmaker.

Ronaldo and Silva have been teammates on the Portuguese national team, and their partnership could potentially extend to the club level in Saudi Arabia. At the age of 28, Silva is considered to be in his prime and would be a significant acquisition for Saudi football.

Silva, who has played a crucial role in Manchester City’s recent successes, including their treble-winning campaign last season, has been with the club for six seasons. His performance in the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid, where he scored twice in a 4-0 victory, showcased his talent and impact on the pitch.

While Al Nassr is eager to secure Silva’s services, it remains to be seen whether Manchester City and manager Pep Guardiola will be willing to let go of the influential midfielder. Guardiola has already seen Ilkay Gundogan depart for Barcelona and missed out on signing Declan Rice, making Silva’s potential departure a significant decision for the club.
