The Guardian reports that Bayer Leverkusen’s Amine Adli is attracting interest from a host of clubs with the summer transfer window approaching.

Arsenal, Bayern Munich and AC Milan had already shown interest in the 21-year-old, but it is reported that Newcastle United are to step up their pursuit of Adli. The 21-year-old has a contract at Leverkusen until 2026 and an offer of more than €34m could cause Leverkusen to consider selling the player.

Adli joined Leverkusen in 2021 from Toulouse in France for €7.50m and Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso would like to build his attack around the forward next season. The 21-year-old has 12 goal contributions in 34 appearances.

Newcastle have also shown interest in Adli’s compatriot Moussa Diaby. Leverkusen are reportedly more open to allowing Diaby to leave but he could cost more than double what Adli may be bought for.

The 23-year-old has been one of Leverkusen’s stand-out players this season having played 44 times while providing 25 goal contributions.
