SportBild reports that Augsburg are now open to selling Ricardo Pepi in the summer only if they receive the same fee they bought the 20-year-old for in January 2022.
Feyenoord, PSV and Crystal Palace are all interested in Pepi with the striker favouring a move to the Premier League. Augsburg will let the 20-year-old leave for €16m which is the same fee they paid Dallas FC, Pepi’s contract expires in 2026.
Pepi is currently on loan at Groningen having failed to make an impact at Augsburg while he was there. This season he has played 26 times scoring 12 and assisting three placing him seventh in the goalscoring chart in the Netherlands.
Augsburg are already prepared for the departure of Pepi. Mergim Berisha has been their stand-out player this season scoring nine goals and assisting four while earning himself a senior Germany call-up. The 24-year-old is set to join the club for €4m from Fenerbahce once his loan expires.
While there are also January signings, Dion Beljo, Irvin Cardona, and Ermedin Demirovic who all play the same position as Pepi.
