With the international break now over, Barcelona’s stars from across the globe are heading back to Catalunya to switch their focus on to Saturdays clash with Las Palmas.

And it’s fair to say that most of Barca’s internationals will be heading into the game buoyed by some impressive performances for their respective countries.

Here’s the highlights from Xavi Hernandez’s squad during March’s international break.

Lamine Yamal is 16 years old and, judging by his performance against Brazil, he is the reason that Spain have a chance of winning Euro 2024.

That is utterly absurd.

The fact that he, a Barcelona player, deservedly earned a standing ovation at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday evening is utterly absurd.

Germany were brilliant during the March international break, earning perception-changing wins over France and the Netherlands, however not every Die Mannschaft player impressed.

Ilkay Gundogan looked jaded and out-of-sorts in both games, with manager Julian Nagelsmann revealing the the midfielder was particularly self-critical of his performance against France.

Another of Barcelona’s La Masia-developed wonderkids, Pau Cubarsi became the second youngest player to every play for the Spain senior team this past week, coming off the bench against Colombia.

The 17-year-old centre-back is already a regular for Barcelona and looks set to earn a place in his nation’s Euro 2024 squad as a result. Nice one.

Joao Felix

Without Joao Felix in the lineup, Portugal comfortably swept aside a talented Sweden team 5-2 in Guimaraes.

With Joao Felix in the lineup, Portugal were beaten 2-0 by Slovenia…

That’s not a good sign, is it?
