As reported by Kicker, Bayer Leverkusen are interested in signing Belgium U19 international Noah Mbamba from Club Brugge on a free transfer when his contract expires in the summer.
Mbamba can play in central-defence or as a six, and it’s been known for some time that Bayer Leverkusen are courting a replacement for Charles Aránguiz, who has a contract with the Bundesliga club until June 2023.
Mbamba has played just 73 minutes of Jupiler Pro League football for Club Brugge this season and per the report, has shown no interest in extending his contract beyond 2023 following the departure of Alfred Schreuder to Ajax. One problem that B04 potentially face is the Belgian talent also has interest from several European clubs.
Bayer Leverkusen have previously tapped into the Club Brugge squad with the signing of Ivorian defender Odilon Kossounou in 2021, the 22-year-old has since made 38 Bundesliga appearances for Die Werkself.
