Bayern Munich are considering loan moves for Julian Alvarez and Dusan Vlahovic as potential alternatives to Harry Kane.
Bayern have seen two bids for Kane turned down as the Bundesliga champions look to sign a centre-forward this summer, with Spurs determined to keep hold of the 29-year-old despite his contract situation.
Kane’s current deal expires next summer and Spurs run the risk of losing the club’s record goalscorer on a free transfer.
Sport Bild are reporting that Bayern will target Kane on a free transfer if a deal cannot be agreed this summer and are considering ‘Plan B’ options to bridge the gap until 2024.
Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez has been named as an alternative, with Bayern considering a loan approach. The 23-year-old scored 17 goals in all competitions during an impressive debut campaign with the treble winners, but has struggled for a regular role due to the presence of Erling Haaland.
The World Cup winner started just 13 league games last season, but Fabrizio Romano has reported that the player’s representatives do not consider a loan exit a possibility this summer.
Dusan Vlahovic has also been named as an option for Bayern after Juventus withdrew from European competition for next season.
The Turin side have forfeited their place in the Europa Conference League as a result of financial and legal troubles, having also been docked 10 points in Serie A last season after an investigation into the club’s finances found evidence of false accounting.
Vlahovic could be allowed to leave to free room on the wage bill and has also been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United. Bayern believe a loan addition would compliment Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and teenager Mathys Tel to provide Thomas Tuchel’s side with more options next season.
