Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Harry Kane will start for Bayern Munich when they play Werder Bremen at the Weserstadion in the Bundesliga on Friday night.

Speaking to reporters, Tuchel said: “If nothing happens today, he will start tomorrow,” and on settling in at his new club, added that Kane is “quickly adapting to a new environment.”

Kane made his competitive debut for Bayern Munich last weekend in a 3-0 defeat against RB Leipzig in the DFL Supercup, the Englishman coming off the bench. Against Werder Bremen, Kane will get a chance to impose himself on the game, as he replaces Mathys Tel.

Behind Kane, Kicker predicts that we can expect to see Leroy Sané, Jamal Musiala and Kingsley Coman, which would see Serge Gnabry drop to the bench. It would also appear that Tuchel’s preferred double-pivot is Joshua Kimmich and Konrad Laimer, the latter a free transfer from RB Leipzig. That means a place on the bench for Leon Goretzka and Ryan Gravenberch.

In defence, Benjamin Pavard is likely to retain his place at right-back, although Noussair Mazraoui impressed against RB Leipzig last weekend. Kim Min-jae could also make his Bayern Munich debut, partnering Matthijs de Ligt in central-defence.

It’s also known that Sven Ulreich will be Bayern Munich’s No. 1 until the return of Manuel Neuer, with the 35-year-old impressing during pre-season.

Predicted Bayern Munich XI vs Werder Bremen

Sven Ulreich – Benjamin Pavard, Kim Min-jae, Matthijs de Ligt, Alphonso Davies – Joshua Kimmich, Konrad Laimer – Leroy Sané, Jamal Musiala, Kingsley Coman – Harry Kane.
