It was reported earlier in the transfer window that Bayern had significant interest in signing Boey, but the Rekordmeister’s primary candidate appeared to be Kieran Trippier. After several setbacks to sign the England international, Bayern then turned their focus on Boey.
At one stage, Bayern were also in the market to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Nordi Mukiele, but interest in the former RB Leipzig defender appears to have cooled down.
Bayern had to fight off competition from Arsenal and PSG to sign Boey, while Marseille also showed an interest in the Frenchman last summer, as reported via our colleagues at Get French Football News.
Boey has played 31 games across all competitions this season for Galatasaray.
