Bayern Munich are still pushing to sign Kyle Walker from Manchester City, but the club’s focus remains securing a deal for Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
Bayern have been active in the transfer market as the Bundesliga champions look to bounce back from a disappointing European exit last season, with the Germans pursuing deals for leading Premier League names.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have an interest in signing Walker from Manchester City and are awaiting a decision from the England right-back, who has been offered a new deal at the Etihad.
Sky Sports Germany are reporting that Bayern’s priority remains the signing of Harry Kane however, as the club look to bring in an established number nine.
Kane has less than a year to run on his contract at Tottenham and Bayern are optimistic an agreement can be reached. The Bavarians believe they are Kane’s preferred destination this summer, should the England captain push for an exit from Spurs.
Spurs have insisted that Kane is not for sale despite the risk of losing the club’s all-time leading scorer on a free transfer next summer. There is a sense that chairman Daniel Levy could be more receptive to an approach from a foreign club however, should Bayern submit an offer of close to €100m.
Kane scored 30 league goals last season and is viewed as the ideal option to replace the goalscoring void left by Robert Lewandowski’s sale to Barcelona last summer.
Bayern are finalising a deal to sign Napoli centre-back Kim Min-jae and have confirmed the free transfer arrivals of Raphaël Guerreiro from Borussia Dortmund and Konrad Laimer from RB Leipzig. There is also interest in Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
