Premier League newcomers Burnley have submitted an opening offer of €12m to Wolfsburg for Belgium international Aster Vranckx, according to L’Equipe’s Loïc Tanzi.
Vranckx (20) spent last season on loan at Milan, where he played just 318 minutes of football across 10 games. With a contract at Wolfsburg until 2025, it’s known that Wolfsburg would be open to selling the Belgian midfielder, who joined the Bundesliga from KV Mechelen for €8m in 2021.
With 29 games across all competitions since his move, Vranckx doesn’t appear to be in the plans of Niko Kovac.
Sacha Tavolieri also adds that other clubs are interested in signing Vranckx, who made his Belgium debut last week, but Premier League side Crystal Palace is not one of them.
A move to Burnley would see Vranckx play under compatriot Vincent Kompany, who got the club promoted back into the Premier League with 101 points last season. The Bundesliga is also a league that The Clarets are targeting after signing Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Jordan Beyer on a permanent basis following an impressive loan spell.
