England beat Senegal 3-0 last night in the World Cup last 16 to setup a quarter final match against France on Saturday evening.
Two players for England really stood out once again for me. Obviously Jude Bellingham was one of them and easily man of the match. But Declan Rice once again for me just reiterated the ‘unsung’ job that he does on the pitch, and if it wasn’t for him, players like Bellingham and Phil Foden would not have been able to be as effective as they were. Rice being there alone allowed Bellingham to go and roam and play with freedom, and he certainly did that.
Bellingham is going to be THE most sought-after player in the summer, when he is expected to leave Dortmund for a lot of money. One team is going to have to pay VERY big to get Bellingham, and Chelsea will certainly be in the mix.
Personally, I can see him going to Manchester City, but you can never rule anything out at this stage. But Jude is going to be an absolute world beater and it’s scary, especially if he goes to City, or even Liverpool. All the major clubs are in for him though.
On Declan Rice as well, Chelsea have a good chance of finally landing him in a move that just feels destined to happen. So you can bet your bottom dollar that Chelsea will very much be involved in both of these major transfer stories that are expected to conclude in the summer.
I really don’t think we will sign both, but it looks like we are certainly at least going to try!
