City Star Named As One Of 3 PL Stars That Real Madrid Have ‘Rejected’ Despite Being Available At ‘Zero Cost’

Real Madrid have “rejected” the chance to sign Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan, according to Defensa Central.

The Spanish website claims that the La Liga champions will not be considering a move for the German international, despite being available for “zero cost”.

Gundogan’s contract at the Etihad stadium expires in June and, as things stand, he is set to depart Manchester on a free transfer at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old has been rather coy when asked about his future in interviews over the past few months, which may indicate that he has already decided to leave. A move to Spain, though, looks pretty unlikely at the moment.

Defensa Central report that Real were also offered the likes of Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante and Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, along with Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar and Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram, but they have opted to pursue other targets.
