As reported by Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato, Crystal Palace are set to sign Naouirou Ahamada from VfB Stuttgart.
There is reportedly already an agreement between Palace and Stuttgart and a move for the Frenchman should happen very soon. The 20-year-old is currently worth €5.5m and joined Stuttgart in 2021 from Juventus for €1.5m after spending the previous season on loan at VfB. Ahamada has a contract that expires in 2025.
He has made 16 appearances this season, starting every single game in the Bundesliga, and has been one of Stuttgart’s most reliable players in a poor season that currently sees VfB sitting in 16th.
Ahamada’s move may free up space and funds for Josuha Guilavogui who Bruno Labbadia has been pushing for Stuttgart to sign as the previous stumbling block to the move was Stuttgart’s lack of money. In Stuttgart’s 1-1 draw against Mainz at the weekend, Atakan Karazor played in the role Labbadia wants Guilavogui in.
