Sky Germany report that RB Leipzig have entered the race to sign Marcus Thuram but it’s Italian side Milan that are in pole position to sign the French attacker.
Milan have offered Thuram around €5m per year without bonuses but nothing has been signed yet. The France international will also pocket more than €10m in signing fees.
RB Leipzig, alongside PSG, now only have an outside chance to sign Thuram, who recorded 23 goal contributions (16 goals, 7 assists) in 32 games across all competitions for Borussia Mönchengladbach last season.
The 25-year-old will leave the club after joining from Guingamp in 2019. Roland Virkus confirmed in April that Thuram would leave the club at the end of the season, when his contract expires.
As reported via our colleagues at Get Italian Football News, Les Bleus teammates Olivier Giroud, Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez have also tried to convince him about joining Milan.
