Sport1 reports that Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Djbril Sow has held a meeting with Sevilla sporting director Victor Orta over a potential move to the Europa League winners.

Sow was absent for around 90 minutes during Frankfurt’s training camp in Austria to speak to Orta, who had travelled to specifically speak to Sow. The 26-year-old can imagine playing for Sevilla, who can offer Champions League football due to their Europa League triumph last season.

Lazio have also shown interest in Sow with Italian media reporting that the midfielder has agreed to a five-year contract with the club. However, it is reported that Sow has yet to agree on any offer with Lazio and it is entirely possible that he does not move to the club at all.

If Sow leaves, Frankfurt are likely to enter the market again for another midfielder. The club have already signed Ellyes Skhiri from 1.FC Köln and Hugo Larsson from Malmo, but due to the decline in Sebastian Rode and with the potential departure of Sow, Fortuna Düsseldorf’s Ao Tanaka has been linked to the club and would add greater depth to a shallow option of central midfielders at Frankfurt.
