Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter is believed to be on AC Milan’s shortlist to become the club’s next head coach.
Stefano Pioli is expected to leave AC Milan at the end of the campaign after a disappointing season to date, with the Rossoneri eight points adrift in the title race, having played a game more than leaders Inter, and out of the Champions League.
Milan are currently assessing candidates for the role and talkSPORT are reporting that Potter is under consideration. The 48-year-old has been without a role since being sacked at Chelsea in April 2023, following an ill-fated spell at Stamford Bridge.
Potter has taken a patient approach to his return and has rejected advances from clubs including Lyon as he awaits the right role.
AC Milan’s preferred candidate is understood to be another former Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte. The latter has been out of work since leaving Spurs last season and has also been linked with Barcelona.
Conte has won four Serie A titles during a decorated coaching career in Italy, across spells with Juventus and Inter Milan.
