Ezri Konsa has been called up by England with Cole Palmer and Rico Lewis also set to be brought into Gareth Southgate’s squad.
Konsa, the Aston Villa centre-back has enjoyed an exceptional start to the season and has been rewarded with a place in the squad for the games with Malta and North Macedonia.
It is also expected that, as first reported by The Athletic, Palmer and Lewis will also be included by Southgate.
Palmer has been exceptional since moving from Manchester City to Chelsea this summer, scoring a late penalty against his new club to secure a 4-4 draw in a sensational game between the sides on Sunday.
Lewis has been rewarded for becoming a regular in Pep Guardiola’s City squad.
