Sky Germany reports that Liverpool midfielder Fabinho is an option to fill the number six position at Bayern Munich.
The 29-year-old is on the list of midfielders that Bayern are interested in but Fabinho is set to complete a move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad. The deal is set to be finalised at some point this weekend.
However, if the move is to collapse then Bayern may potentially try and capitalise and try to sign the Brazilian.
Earlier on in the summer, Bayern were linked with Declan Rice, now of Arsenal, and even held meetings with the midfielder’s team but they were eventually priced out of a move for the Englishman.
Bayern are looking for a true defensive midfielder as at the latter end of the season the paring of Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka no longer worked, Bayern believes that if they find a number six they can then get the best out of Kimmich’s attacking qualities.
