Harry Kane and breaking records go hand-in-hand. The Englishman put Bayern Munich in the lead against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, his 24th Bundesliga goal of the season.
Per Opta, Kane’s 24th league goal matches that of Luca Toni (2007/08) for most goals by a Bayern Munich player in his debut season. But not only that, Kane is now only six goals away from matching Uwe Seeler’s league record of 30, scored in the 1963/64 campaign.
24 – Harry Kane has scored his 24th goal in the Bundesliga – only Uwe Seeler scored more goals (30 in 1963-64) in his debut season in the competition. Homelike. #FCBBMG pic.twitter.com/8p92GRJj0Z

Bayern Munich rely on Kane to solve issues
The Rekordmeister had 20 shots in comparison to Gladbach’s 11 on Saturday but failure to create high goalscoring opportunities is troubling them as of late. It was again the reliant Kane that was called upon as his poachers instinct put Thomas Tuchel’s side in the lead.
After 20 games, Kane has 24 goals and six assists in the Bundesliga this season, taking his tally to 28 and eight in 27 games across all competitions. That’s what a fee short of €100m gets you, but whether or not that will be enough to lift the Meisterschale come May remains to be seen.
