Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku was named Player of the Match for his performance against Luton Town at the weekend.
The Belgian international won a penalty during the 5-1 win, scored City’s fourth as well as setting up Josko Gvardiol for the final goal.
Doku’s form has had its peaks and troughs during his first campaign at the Etihad, and fans on X are keen for the summer signing to build on his display on Saturday:
Hope he continues like this for the rest of the season

When I’m thinking about Doku I do understand he’s young, he’ll have a rollercoaster year, but next year? he has the talent to become a much better Dembele, but he needs to work hard on finishing full stop.

Doku is a raw talent
Despite costing the Premier League champions £55.5m, the 21-year-old is far from the finished article, but he possesses all the qualities to become a top player.
The way Doku beat his man and curled his shot into the bottom corner of Thomas Kaminski’s goal against Luton demonstrates how much of a threat the forward can be. The aim now is to start producing that on a consistent basis.
City are hitting top form
Much like Doku, the whole team appears to be peaking at the right time. Pep Guardiola‘s side have now scored 13 goals in their last three league games, having also scored 4 times against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
The victory versus Luton has put them in a great position to win their sixth Premier League title in seven years.
