Josh Key feels the contrasting emotions of Swansea City and Cardiff City’s players following the 1-1 draw between the sides typifies the lofty aims of Luke Williams’ team.

The Swans led the derby encounter through Liam Cullen’s early strike and dominated the opening half at the Swansea.com Stadium.

But Erol Bulut’s men improved in the second-half and claimed a point courtesy of substitute Callum Robinson’s goal in the 79th minute.

“The lads set the standard doing the double a couple of years ago,” Key said on the Feast of Football podcast.

“Obviously it meant a lot to [Cardiff] that they drew the game, I think it says a lot about us.

“We allowed them to have momentum in the second-half, and that’s what cost us.

“It showed the disappointment today that we didn’t win. I know we got a point, but for us that’s not good enough.”
