Jamal Musiala today makes his 100th appearance in all competitions for Bayern Munich as the Rekordmeister face Schalke in the Bundesliga. At 19, the teenager has established himself as a key player for club and country, and he will also represent Germany at the World Cup in Qatar later this month.
Awarded his Bundesliga debut under Hansi Flick at 17 years, 3 months and 25 days, Musiala was introduced as a replacement for Thomas Müller in a 3-1 win against Freiburg. He would then make his Champions League debut as a substitute against RB Salzburg five months later.
In 99 appearances across all competitions, Musiala has scored 27 and created 15. Two of the 27 came against Lazio and Barcelona in the Champions League and according to Transfermarkt, Musiala has scored five game winning goals in the Bundesliga.
Already this season Musiala has scored 12 and created eight in 21 games across all competitions. Heading to Qatar with Germany, he could well be in chance with winning the Best Young Player of the Tournament, an award that Müller won at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
