Manchester City and Arsenal are keeping tabs on Southampton fullback Tino Livramento, according to CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs.

The England Under 21 international has suffered a number of injury setbacks since making the £5m move from Chelsea eighteen months ago, but Jacobs claims he is a talent who is highly rated by club scouts:

“Livramento will be monitored when fit with a view to a possible move over the next 2-3 windows by both Arsenal and Manchester City. And if he hadn’t suffered his injury he may already be at one of those two clubs already.”

The fact is, though, Livramento hasn’t actually played a game of senior football for the best part of ten months, so speculating about a potential move to one of the Premier League’s top two does seem very premature.

On top of that, City are not exactly short of options on the right flank. The emergence of Rico Lewis means that Kyle Walker is being given a run for his money in terms of starting opportunities. The 18-year-old may even have more potential than the Southampton player.

However, If Livramento does make a strong comeback from injury, it does appear as if City will be watching his performances closely.
